Global Health Symposium
The purpose of the Global Health Symposium is to engage the VCU community in discussions about current international outreach focused on improving health outcomes around the globe.
To fulfill its purpose, the Symposium seeks to accomplish the objectives of 1) informing members of the university community about active global health projects, 2) providing networking opportunities to enhance communication and encourage connections among individuals and groups active and interested in global health projects, and 3) establishing a framework to further support of, and participation in, international health projects at VCU.
The Global Health Symposium is part of a planned biannual series highlighting opportunities for international collaboration. The first event was held in December 2012 and highlighted current research between VCU and the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
The program is sponsored by the VCU College of Humanities and Sciences, the VCU Global Education Office, the VCU School of Dentistry, the VCU School of Medicine, and the VCU Office of Research
